Concept
The label is built around a highly stylised genealogical tree, abstracted into a system of grape-like forms. The structure references lineage, growth and origin, tying the wine back to ideas of heritage and continuity without relying on literal illustration.
The year 1983 is treated as the central marker, reinforcing the sense of a specific vintage while anchoring the visual hierarchy. The combination of symbolic structure and typographic clarity allows the label to communicate both story and classification at the same time.
Design Approach
The direction balances expressive symbolism with strict control. The genealogical motif introduces character, while the overall layout remains minimal and structured to retain a premium feel.
Material contrast plays a key role in the perception of quality. Gold detailing is used selectively against more muted surfaces to create emphasis without overwhelming the composition. Typography is kept deliberate and restrained, allowing the symbol and vintage to carry most of the identity.
Execution
The label was designed for physical application on bottle, with careful attention to proportion, legibility and shelf presence.
To extend the project, a series of 3D visualisations were created as self-initiated work. These explore how the design behaves across different lighting conditions, from natural light setups to more controlled, low-key scenes. The intention was to present the label as a finished product and to demonstrate how material, glass and lighting influence perception.
Outcome
The final result is a label that connects heritage with a more contemporary, graphic expression. The genealogical structure adds a layer of meaning without becoming illustrative, while the restrained execution keeps the overall impression focused and premium.
The additional visualisations help position the project beyond a flat design, showing how it translates into a realistic product context.
