Le Punk Pinot Noir Wine Label Design
Branding and wine label design for Le Punk Pinot Noir, built to challenge traditional wine packaging through bold typography and a disruptive visual identity.
Most Pinot Noir brands hide behind the same script: heritage, restraint, and just enough elegance to avoid standing out.
Le Punk does the opposite.
This project treats Pinot Noir as something that can carry attitude—not just tradition. Less reverence, more intent. Less storytelling, more presence.
The brief wasn’t to “elevate” the category. It was to disrupt it—without losing the ability to actually sell.

Concept
At its core, this is about rejection.
Rejection of the polite, overworked visual language that defines most wine labels. Rejection of the idea that Pinot Noir has to be handled carefully to be taken seriously.
Le Punk pulls from punk as a mindset, not a style—raw, direct, and unconcerned with approval. It doesn’t try to reinterpret tradition. It challenges whether it’s worth following in the first place.
Design Approach
Everything here is intentional, and nothing is neutral.
The typography is blunt, imperfect, and slightly aggressive—closer to something stamped than designed. It carries the entire identity without relying on illustration or decoration to soften it.
The layout keeps just enough structure to hold it together commercially, but never enough to make it feel safe. That tension—control versus disregard—is where the label lives.
If it feels a bit off, it’s doing its job.

Outcome
Le Punk doesn’t try to belong in the Pinot Noir category. It interrupts it.
It’s immediate, opinionated, and difficult to ignore—built for the shelf, not the approval of the industry. The result is a label that communicates instantly and leaves no room for interpretation.
A Pinot Noir that doesn’t ask for permission—and doesn’t care if it gets it.
Need a wine label that actually stands out—or one that plays it safe? If you’re serious about your winery’s branding, let’s talk.
